Public Service Announcement: We have a website!
It has been a long time coming, but Blanchester Church of the Nazarene officially has a website.
This has been a huge undertaking and, to be honest, much larger than I was expecting. I knew this would be a big project, but I didn’t realize just how much planning, effort, details, meetings, and learning all of this would take. There were times (plural) when I didn’t think I could pull it off, that I bit off more than I could chew. However, God took me by the hand and led me straight into the hands of great people who encouraged and taught me so much during this process, and I could never take the credit for this project as my own.
First, to Pastor Paul and the church board for realizing the need for this website and allowing me to take on the project. You supported me throughout this process financially and never put any limits to my crazy plans. I thank each and every one of you for believing in me and allowing me to bring this project to life. Thank you for taking leaps of faith each and every day for our church and for the kingdom.
To Ted Shelton, I do not think any of you realize just how brilliant this man is. He has helped me tremendously throughout this process. When I had no idea what to do next, Ted was there to point me in the right direction (or just do it for me). I would still be at square one without Ted’s help, and I thank you not only for your guidance but your patience and grace to work with someone who has literally no experience with creating a website or maintaining one. Trust me, if heaven has a point system, you gained tons for this project!
To Daniel, the man from ChurchDev whose face I have never seen or whose voice I have never heard. He has helped me so much through this process and fixed many of my problems. He is probably more excited than any of us to have this website finished, but regardless, I am thankful for the time he has put into our website to make sure it was exactly what we needed. Don’t worry Daniel, you won’t have to go to work with emails from me any longer!
To the rest of my team, Brenda Conley, Allison Miller, Lori Docter, Shane Hughes, Linda Falgner, Kathy Shelton, Angela France, Sandy Campbell, Debbie Parriman, thank you for your input and bringing me back to earth during our different meetings when I jumped off the deep end. Your insight and ideas were second to none, and this website would be mediocre at best without your help. Thank you for your research and putting in the time to ensure this website would mean something to our congregation and those who take a glance.
To my church family, thank you so much for your constant support through prayers and encouragements, not only through the summer but throughout my whole life. You have been a constant support system for me and have always pushed me in my Christian walk and to become a better person. I hope that as I age and mature, I will continue to grow in the mold you have left for me and, when the time comes, I will be able to support, encourage, and mold the future leaders of the church as you have done so well for me.
To my parents, who taught me what it means to work hard and to follow something through to completion. Thanks for ingraining in me the passion to work hard and putting my all into everything I do. Thanks for picking up the slack this summer as I was working full-time and working on this website. Also, thank you for making sure I was actually working on the website and making sure I was going to finish what I had started. Thank you for being my hamster, for looking at every page to check spelling and grammar, and telling me when something didn’t look right. You guys are my rock; I love you.
Finally, to my Father God, who has been there with me in the long days and nights, who pushed me when I didn’t think I could go any longer, who has strengthened so many skills throughout this process. Though I am weak, you are strong. Thank you for all these people you have put into my life. How grateful I am for all I have been blessed with.
Though the website exists, it is far from being finished. There is so much to look forward to for the future of this website. This is only the beginning. If you have any ideas or think you would be interested in the upkeep or additions that will be coming and need to happen, please do not hesitate to come up to me. I could use your help in many areas of this project!
Thank you again, to everyone, for everything. This wouldn’t have happened without you. I couldn’t have asked for a better church to make a website for.
Sincerely,
Logan Stroud
